So the PGA Tour has started its season with the new Fed-Ex Cup (no one really knows what this is all about, we have the Tournament of Champions ("Mercedes Championships"), the "Tour Championship" (Top 30 money winners of the season at the end of the year), the "World Championships" (or Tiger Championships, whatever you want to call them) and The Players Championship (a true championship that now deserves "major" status and is only bettered by the four original majors).
Rich Beem, former PGA Champion, said, "All aspiring championship golfers have had a putt in practice in which they imagine themselves putting for the Masters or the U.S. Open or one of the major championships... I hope I never see a kid saying, 'this putt is to win the Fed-Ex Cup'!"
Anyway, due to the snow, our golf season has not started yet, which in a way it is good. I hope your desire ti play golf grows by the minute! The original date of February 15 will no be met, and it has been delayed by at least 2 weeks.
In the meantime, the construction crew continues to make improvements in the pro-shop (this is not the reason for closure, but actual course conditions). We will keep you posted in this area.
Instead of giving you a link for local pictures, we published them here. Pictures will be changed on a monthly basis, so if you want to make copies of some of them, you better do it while they are on the site.
