"GET ACQUAINTED" RESULTS

For a while, most of us thought, that the first tournament of the year would be a cancellation due to the weather (see last post). On Friday morning, we had snow on the ground and the tournament was scheduled for Saturday. As the weekend progressed, as did the weather, the tournament was postponed one day, to Sunday and we ended up with 21 participants in seven teams. In 1st place, with a score of 62.5 were: OB-Toe Cayedito, Hugh Johnston & Abe Vining, in 2nd (64.2) Marty Menapace, Nelson Leonard & Travis Chee and in 3rd (64.2) Marcus Tulley, Gilbert Ramirez & Skip Curley. (Left, Michael Thompson watches as partners hit their shot, his team came in 4th, but he later teamed with Alvin Lewis to win an informal 9 hole match).

Coming up, on Masters Sunday (April 8), we will host the "Masters of Gallup & Augusta", winners receive real Masters mementoes.
