CONGRATULATIONS: CITY CHRISTMAS PARTY COMMITTEE RECOGNIZES ERNIE ABEITA
The City Christmas Party Committee ("END OF THE YEAR SCRAMBLE" - Blog October 19, 2008), recognized Ernie Abeita (pictured), for his contribution(s) to this tournament's first edition. "Ernie", as all his friends call him (if you say "Ernie", chances are that you are speaking about him), a well known face among golfers and non golfers, was the Tournament Chairman for the event and an enthusiastic leader in getting the committee working together for the tournament and its two main purposes: raise funds for the the City Employees Christmas Party and raise funds for a local charity. The team of Paul Dimas, Don Good and Ronnie Pinto won the first event over 21 other teams. The small ceremony will be Wednesday morning. This year's event is "penciled in" for October 4th, but we will let you know of any changes. Thanks!... Amendment: Ernie's contributions to our city and/or golf course causes did not stop with the tournament: On February 10th, after several days of negotiations with Bob Weekes, Ernie approached the City Council during their work session and donated a Range Ball Machine and several dozens of range balls to Fox Run G.C. THANK YOU...AGAIN!!

Ernie giving something free? That will be the day! After all these years, you must not really know him. I thought you were smarter than that, or maybe, now that he is friends with bobw you want to give him a new image? Someone is lying, I guarantee it!
