With winds gusting to 40mph, and a consistent 25-30 mph cool wind, Marcus Tulley shot a 75 (65 net), 7 shots better that anyone else and led his team to a 7 shot win over the nearest team. The format, "Uno, Dos, Tres" (one best ball on par-5 holes, two best balls on par-4 holes and three best balls on par 3's), was difficult on a day like this, but Marcus' team, completed by Calvin Begay, Paul Chavez and Kevin Daw, won with a net 119 (17 under par!).
Next, in second place with a 126 was the team of Darryll Holtsoi, Byron Montross, Nelson Leonard and David Bischoff; in third, with 127, was the team of Mike Thompson, Steve Gurley (pictured here, all "bundled up"!), Calvin Castillo and Vince Saucedo.
Individually, Mike Silva and Darryll Holtsoi, tied for second net with a score of 70. Next best net score was young Paul "son-son" Chavez with a 73. Our next two tournaments will be:
April 13: Masters of Gallup and Augusta (men tournament, prizes are "The Masters" mementos (annuals, DVD's, caps, etc).
April 19: the new Autistic Children Awareness Group. Jonathan Romero is the tournament chairman.
