MARCUS TULLEY MAKES IT TWO FOR TWO...

As Tiger could not start another winning streak, Marcus Tulley (pictured) won his second tournament in a row, the "Masters of Gallup & Augusta". Marcus, who earned "Most Improved" honors last year, shot an 81 for a 75 net (last year he went from a 14 handicap to a 6), and with his "partners" Tiger Woods (72), Phil Mickelson (72) and Stewart Appleby (71), won the second tournament of the year by one (290 to 291) over Joe Darak (71) who teamed up with KJ Choi (73), Mike Weir (74) and Lee Westwood (73).
In this annual event, local players select three players from the Sunday Morning Masters Pairings and add the players' Sunday score to theirs. Local players may select any three players as long as their "values" (which equals their standing before Sunday's round) add to at least 27. For instance, Tiger was in 5th place before the final round and Phil was t7th, so a player using these two players, had to select a player that was 15th or lower in the leader board (5+7+15=27). No player may choose the exact 3 men professional team. No one chose Miguel Angel Jimenez, the Spanish star who had the best round of the day with a 68.
In 3rd place was Leroy Thomas (73) with Mike Weir (74), Lee Westwood (73) and Angel Romero (73), and in 4th was Steve Gurley (72) with Phil Mickelson (72), Tiger Woods (72) and Jim Furyk (77).
Best net individual scores of the day belonged to Mike Thompson with a 67 (73 gross) and Jonathan James (69), however their professional picks were players who shot considerably over par.
Winners earned original mementos of The Masters: DVD's, Masteres Annuals, Caps, etc.
