NAVAJO FAIR JR. TOURNAMENT... A SUCCESS!!

Even though we only hosted 22 golfers (left, Evitan John concentrating to hit his orange ball), the Junior Tournament hosted by the Navajo Fair Golf Committee was a true success.. and the kids had a lot of fun. Eugene Badonie -and lovely wife Nancy- , chairman of the tournament -and of the main event for adults coming up on the 7th of September- initiated the idea and "ran" with it, giving several juniors not only a chance to compete, but also to meet other golfers as well. In this first Navajo Fair junior tournament, we had ended up with five different flights, and the results are as follow:

Boys - "Pewee": 1st (50) Alec Baldwin, 2nd (61) Tyrell Yellowhair, Tie 3rd (68) Breet McFarland and Mark Tulley;

Boys 12-14: 1st (47) Eric Frazier, Tie 2nd (48) Scott Armstrong & Kordell Chee; 4th (55) Bill Murphy;

Boys 15-17: 1st (44) Joshua Yzenbaard, 2nd (46) Nicholas Tah, 3rd (48) Zach Chee;

Girls - "Pewee": 1st (72) Sheridan Ute, 2nd (92) Alexandra Nez;

Girls 14-17: 1st (43) Faylyn Beyale, 2nd (44) Marqui Armstrong, 3rd (82) Nekesia Tulley.

Now, lets plan for 2008!
