MAJOR PADRAIG!!

Down the stretch of a major, we can see who can handle the pressure, who can make the shots... we have seen Tiger, we have seen Jack and we have seen Phil in three occasions.
Now, Padraig Harrington has three as well, and this one could not have been better, more exciting or more revealing of what is to come from the Irishman, whose swing has tightened and putting has made him, no question, the best player behind Tiger.
We'd all like to see him down the last few holes with Tiger and Phil in contention. With Phil out of contention, I was rooting for Ben Curtis, our best American hope in this last major of 2008, as J.B. Holmes proved that he needs to learn how to score in a tight course, under pressure.... "Just another tournament?" No, that though doesn't work!!
And Sergio, the "bad boy" this Sunday. I have a question, when is Sergio going to give a winner his due respect? All he has is excuses on his bad luck. All I can say is that while Padraig did get some sort of a good break for his third shot on the last hole...it was Sergio, who down the stretch of the last three holes, went in the water on #16 and lost his solo lead, could not convert a four footer on #17 to lose the lead for good, and could not make par on #18. Someone got it done, not Sergio.
Sergio's putting may need help, but it is his "I have bad luck" attitude that truly needs help. No one had more bad luck than Greg Norman, and look at his answers when he lost. Just remember the 1987 Masters on Mize's "impossible" chip in, "I did not get it done, Larry did".
Lets say this: You shoot 66, 66 on the last two rounds in a course like this? You deserve to win!! I say, "Padraig, Player of the Year"
