HAPPY GOLFERS.....

Al Martinez eagled #3 twice in a row. Playing with buddies Anthony Trujillo, Ralph Rodriguez & Brian Maldonado, on Thursday afternoon, he put his second shot about 7 feet from the pin and knocked it in. About an hour later, they got behind a couple of groups on #6 and #7, so they decided to play #3, #4 & #18 instead of Holes #7-#9. This is when I joined them to play a hole. Again, he hit his second shot on the green and dejavu, he made an eagle again! (pictured here right before his ball drops in the hole). No pressure for the Fort Wingate Coach! (I did not ask him what he scored in the other holes!!) Yes, he beat me the hole, as i could only manage a 4, so I owe him a drink! Another happy golfer was Alvin Lewis, pictured on our practice green with his memento from Phoenix, AZ where he went to see last weekend's LPGA tournament won by former #1 golfer in the world, Australian Kari Webb. He got signatures from Lorena Ochoa, the current #1 in the world, #1 sensation, still winless, Michelle Wie and several other stars. Alvin and his son were amazed at how far these ladies hit the ball... Alvin... just think how far the men hit it!!
