EARL BARNHILL WINS INVITATIONAL

Earl Barnhill shot 77-76 and won the Grants & Kirtland Central Invitational at Coyote Del Malpais on Monday and Tuesday, April 23-24. Earl was trailing by two shots after the first day, but came back, even under heavy winds, and overtook Diland ..... from Farmington, who could not manage the wind as well. You can often see Earl late in the afternoons playing or practicing on his own. This was Earl's third leg and has now qualified for the State Tournament next month. Earl, once a part time worker at the pro-shop, decided to hit the books as well as the range this year and took some time off from working. It has obviously paid off, both on the course and in school. Congratulations and play your best in the State Tournament!
