FATHERS' DAY TOURNAMENT... A NEW TWIST

Our "Fathers' Day Tournament" drew 28 players in 14 teams... the twist was that we had two flights, one for Father/Son-Daughter and the other one for Father/Father teams in which you did not have to play with a member of your family, just as Dale Parrott & Joe Macias (pictured here) did. My guess is that just before this picture was taken, Joe had made a birdie!!
In the Father/Son-Daughter Flight, Dale & Eric Lovato took frist place with a net of 72. They were followed by Steve & Cody Arviso and James & Jason Analla, both with 73's. In the Father/Father Flight, the winners were, Mel Rousseau & Ronnie Pinto with a net of 70; nest at 71 were Loren Miller & Olsen Arviso followed by Calvin Begay & Marcus Tulley with a 72.
Teams played three formats: Best Ball (Holes 1-6), Scramble (Holes 7-12) and Alternate Shots (Holes 13-18), and, as expected, the most difficult format and the one that made the difference was the Alternate Shots format, better knows as "divorce format" or "loose a friend format", which is very difficult. Personally I enjoy it a lot, particularly when I play with my "honey", if I hit a bad shot that ends up in an "unnecessary lie", all I say is "you have a tough shot babe!" Happy Fathers' Day to all!!!
