CEREMONIAL TOURNAMENT RESULTS...

The Gallup Ceremonial Tournament hosted 64 players that were paired 16 "blind draw" 4-Man Teams... it also combined as a fund raiser for golfing friend Ray Moore. (Left: Rafael Rodriguez, Al Martinez & Anthony Trujillo) Using a different format -in the past, the weekend Ceremonial Tournament has been an individual event- by pairing players in ABCD teams, Ernie Abeita used the annual event and combined two tournaments in one. The response was excellent and all Ray Moore's friends were not only satisfied, but enthusiastic about helping around. All golfers, volunteers and families were treated to an excellent steak dinner after the event, and more importantly, over $4,000 we raised for Ray.

The results are as follow: 1st (55.5) Nick White, Paul Chavez, Roscoe Smith & Joe "Coco Bear" Abeyta; 2nd (58.7) Scott Hamilton, Calvin Begay, Wallace Hanley & Byron Montross; 3rd (59.2) Clarence Peterson, David Haynes, Anthony Trujillo & Melvin McKenzie; 4th (59.4) Bernard Begay, Cisco Lerma, Rafael Rodriguez & Skip Curley. For now, there is no word on whether the event will return to an individual format or not... but one thing is clear: Ray Moore has a lot of friends who want him to get well!!
